Java Problem

I've been having problems with Java lately. I keep getting these error messages: “Several Java Virtual Machines running in the same process” or “Java Runtime Environment cannot be loaded” I don't know how to fix this problem at all. I need help with this. Anyone have any suggestions?

Edit: I tried to uninstalling it and re-installing it and I'm still having trouble and I have Windows XP for an operating system.

I've had the same issues, though I can't remember exactly what fixed them. Try uninstalling all of the Java you've got installed, and reinstall the newest version (1.6.3, or something like that).

Update:
Well...I got java completely uninstalled and then re-installed it. I don't get an error message anymore, but I get a white screen now and nothing seems to load. Anyone got any tips?
