 Post subject: Monitor shutting its self off

So yesterday my screen shuts down, and now it shuts down after about 10-20 mins of run time. I dotn think my screen is bad being thats its almost new? Any suggestions on what is wrong.

check your connections, might be the problem with the cables, or you have a timer set up there.

Is it able to be turned back on after it self-shuts off? I'd think that would be a good sign, as it would most definitely rule out overheating of electrical components.

No it will just say no signal for awhile, then ill leave it sit. I think my video card is going bad.

I've had a problem similar to this where my monitor would go into power-save mode and not snap out of it. It turned out that part of my video card wasn't pushed in all the way. You might want to open it up and check. If that's not the problem, maybe your monitor cable is defective?
