i need help

i got banned from irc cause they said i was useing a blacklisted proxy how would i know if i have a proxy and how do i get rid of it

If you're using Opera's Built-in IRC:

Tools -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Network -> Proxy Servers -> Uncheck all tick-boxes in that window

If you're using IRC through some Firefox extension:

Tools -> Options -> General Tab -> Connection Settings -> Click the radio button next to "Auto-detect Proxy settings for this network", then click OK etc.

If you're using Swiftswitch IRC, or any other IRC program, do this:

Open Internet Explorer -> Tools -> Options -> Connections -> Connection Settings, or LAN Settings -> Uncheck "Use a proxy server...", then click OK etc.

That should fix it.
