Went to see Green Lantern last friday. Had pretty high expectations but it went down because of critics bashing it saying it had horrible plot and filled up with crappy CGI.
Well as a big comic book fan, I liked it. I know storyline isn't spectacular, characters and their relationships aren't really well developped. There's a fair enough ammount of action, but it seems like they try to focus more on the story, while it's not an outstanding one like Iron Man 2.
However, visually speaking, you will have great time. Great scenes on Oa and a perfect mixture of Aliens Planet and Earth. Of course there's alot of CGI on Oa, but most of the movie is on Earth, so it isn't like Avatar.
Comic Nerd will like it because it is faithful enough to the comics, people seeing it for fun and entertainment will like as well. But people who expect a movie as good as The Dark Knight or a never-seen-before storyline will be disapointed.
I give it 7.5/10.
