Is the scotched egg the greatest snack of all time?

I'm going to say yes. Sausage meat covered in bread crumbs with a boiled egg at the center? Genius.

Ya, I thought it was more of a breakfast food as well. I'd be willing to give it a try, but as far as best snack food...

I believe the malasada takes the cake. It's not just any donut, but the tastiest, meltiest, and amazing donut you have ever tasted in your entire life. It's a puff ball of utter goodness. If it weren't as good as scotched eggs, it would be runner up hands down at least.

Are those things like..crunchy on the outside but fluffy inside? I believe i had those in Europe somewhere. Couldn't eat anymore than two there really filling.

Not crunchy in the way I think. It's just browned on the outside. Slightly crunchy maybe? They are originally a Spanish confection, I know that much. Very fluffy and melty on the inside. Usually the outside is covered in sugar or cinnamon sugar.

That does look like a wonderful way to start the day, Creepy. Sometimes a few hardboiled eggs are great for a snack, and that does look pretty good.

I LOVE SAUSAGE!!! (as in the meat..not...you know what i mean -.-)

id love to try one of those.. many questions come to mind though on how one would make this... do you boil the egg, crack the shell and then put the sausage meat around it along with the bread and deep fry it? hmm

It's a mystery. Actually it's not. The egg is boiled like normal. You put it inside once it's been boiled. I think.
