Maybe it's just me. I've yet to see a 3D film because I've yet to see how **** popping out at me is adding anything to the film. It's more distracting if anything.
and somehow i knew you would say all of that.
Am i right or am i right? That is the question.
The live action TV show is more exciting than this dribble.
Meh. I think 3D is more of a passive experience if anything. When I watched Avatar, it's not like the screen is actually popping out of you, but the details come out better and feel a little closer. But really, you're only going to notice if you are paying attention. If you just watch the movie and don't think about the 3D, it's hardly noticeable. So, I'll agree that it really is hype over nothing until they actually make 3D awesomely real to the point things actually pop off the screen. When people start having heart attacks, that's when I'll start believing that 3D is actually pretty good.
Anyways, back on topic, re-releasing the movies is probably a good move financially. I think there is a big enough following/interest that they'll make a decent amount of money out of it. Lucas should have been like Cameron and made the movies now rather than way back in the day. Could you imagine how much better the CGI would have been. I'd be more up for them remaking the movies entirely than just making them 3D. Wonder how they'll turn out?
