Did anyone catch the newest episode? You know with Jesus, buddha, m*******, Tom Cruise and all that?

I've never seen such silly censorship before and this is the last show I'd expect to see it from. I actually thought it was a joke when they started bleeping out the word muhammad till i heard today this wasn't the creators idea and wasn't even a joke it was comedy central blocking it all. Has anyone seen a show bleep out a perfectly innocent word like muhammad? XD

I find it rather odd, if not disapointing that one threat from some ***** religious nutjobs and they bow down and give in to there demands. Forget free speech guys we've ***** off some muslims. Never mind the mass amount of celebrities you was ripping on, buddha snorting cocain and the hundreds of other things you've ripped on that's bound to insult or offend.

Whoever made this call needs to get a backbone.

Isn't Comedy central known for excessive censoring?

I didn't catch the episode but I read it on the news. Yesterday, there was a pool in the CNN news website, asking if South Park was going too far with their jokes. When I saw the results, about 40% of the people said Yes. Wtf? #-o

Keep in mind that this is in no way representative of popular opinion. Polls are prone to bias, even when attempts are made to sample as randomly as possible. A poll that appears only on CNN is worth nothing in terms of gaining any actual perspective on popular culture.

Well it is because i watched it online. Try Prophet muhammad in your google search if you're not finding anything..although I don't see why you're not a wiki page pops up for me.

The short n sweet is they consider it a great offence to show this prophet and apparently consider it a bigger one if you instead dress him up in a bear suit.

I imagine it will be removed by somebody, but right now the Wikipedia entry for Muhammad has been taken over by South Park!

I'm pretty sure that it is extremely offensive to Muslims for his name to be said in a demeaning way. I have a Muslim friend and he cannot partake in anything that would be demeaning to him, in any way at all.

Some muslim group in new york threatened them so they censored it, cause im pretty sure it wasn't originally censored when it first aired and that was the story I heard behind it.

actually they were going to show it uncensored, but then they started getting death threats.

comedy central wanting to make sure that they don't end up getting a bomb in the mail, decided to censor the show.

Oh I'm sure it is. And i don't care.

Why should comedy central, i, or anyone else bow down and have there view on the world forced upon us. If they don't like it don't watch it.

Reminds me of the FLQ when they put bombs in mailboxes in Anglophone Quebec neighborhoods just to promote their goals.

The very fact that CC felt they had to censor the episode because of death threats just plays into the hands of the terrorists - what about Family guy? They've gotten lots of death threats before.
