Father finally gets his son.

Overveiw of the story (if you dont alrady know):

David Goldman had a child who went with his mother to Brazil who then remarried, got pregnant, and died in child birth. The first child, Sean Goldman, was then give to his step-father (who lives in Brazil). David has now been trying to bring his child home to the United States for 5 years.

I think its wonderfull that a father finaly gets his son back.

Kid might of wanted to stay in Brazil. Might not be as happy as you like to think.

I think the whole case is silly, I love Brazil, I live in Brazil and I think it's truly a great country, but the kid really needs to be with his dad, maternal grandparents and a stepfather isn't a substitute for a father. The kid's brazilian grandmother said that this christmas wouldn't be christmas without him, but by that criteria, neither David Goldman or Sean's paternal grandparents will have had christmas since he was taken away by his mother, Bruna Bianchi. When she divorced David, there should have been a custody hearing that would have solidified joint custody, but there never was, so there was this huge legal battle just to return the kid to his closest blood relative. The grandmother and her lawyer were all in a fuss about visitation rights, and I think that she shouldn't be able to see him for the next 5 years, just like what happened to David Goldman. I personally think that he should stay with his father until he's 18 and then make the decision over where he wants to live, study and work.
