So we're clear:
"Comfort food is typically inexpensive, uncomplicated, and easy to prepare. Many people turn to comfort food for familiarity, emotional security, or as a special reward. The reasons a dish becomes comfort food are diverse but often include pleasant associations of childhood[1]. Small children often seem to latch on to a specific food or drink (in a way similar to a security blanket) and will repeatedly request it in high stress situations. Adults eat comfort food for a sense of continuity."

What is your idea of comfort food?

Mine would definitely be potato soup, black bread, and spiced chai. :D

I thought about this for a while and I really couldn't think of anything that I eat when I'm stressed out. Probably because I don't have a lot of stress in my life. When I'm tired though I'll usually just toast a bagel and melt butter onto it so it soaks through. Maybe not the healthiest thing but it sure tastes good!

I will eat pancakes during tough times. Also Ramon Noodles. If I am really stressed I will usually just munch on some candy. (yeah yeah its bad for my health.)

I'd probably eat ice cream and hot bbq wings to wake my brain up to figure out what I really am trying to do.

Normally when I'm stressed out I'll grab an energy drink like Lucozade or Powerade, and eat loads of chocolate.

Yeah I'm a typical comfort eater :D

Peperoni Pizza. I just order it from the local pizza place, and I'm in heaven in 30 minutes.

But, if it's something we have to buy at the store, then Ben & Jerry's Carmel Sutra (I think that's how you spell it?).

Beer, big bag of crisps and a manly mans film. Although tbh that's just if i have nothing to do and just wanna relax. I guess it's comforting.

If I'm worried about something I tend to just lose my appetite.

:P Comfort food is for more than when you're stressed. It's the type of food that's just..familiar to you and makes you feel better when you eat it.

Reading this thread is making me hungry.
