New stargate series announced 11!!

I have a bit of a secret a deep dark secret that no one knows. I'm a sci-fi nerd.

And theres no argument what so ever stargate is the greatest one about. Star treks rubbish now what with it constantly taking steps back instead of forwards the newest film being a superb example of that it's going to fail horribly. Star wars is **** now too with it's crappy animated episodes.

Lil stargate though, after 10 seasons of SG1, 6 of SGA and several films is now making a third series called stargate universe.

*WARNING NERD TALK YOU PROBABLY WONT GET THIS PART UNLESS YOU WATCH THE SHOW*
From what i can gather this time it's about an SG team aboard an ancient ship, one of two actually that helped create the gate system. It'll concentrate more on the crew and the ship over planetary exploration like the other two SG series.

I've no idea how many people watch this show on here but for those that DO what do you think of the new series idea? Or what do you think of stargate in general, most people must know of it at least.

Personally i like the idea but i also liked the planetary exploration, i liked how it was set in modern day times and putting it on a ship without a gate and a ship that belongs to the most advanced race around sorta ruins two major things i liked.

BUT at least it's not turning into a cartoon or going back to the very first bloody voyage into space because that would be really stupid.

me too i love scifi movies! i havent seen that new movie star trek yet looks interesting to me, idk if its out yet or not. my dad is into that kind of sci fi, he loves star trek. im a star wars and star gate lover lol. I love the newer series of star wars though. I have to say the old star wars was a bore to me, but once the new movies came out i was clued to it. i think i seen it about 20 times lol each serie lol.

Sometimes I used to watch Stargate Atlantis when it was on Sky, but I don't really watch it much anymore.

Might watch the new series though.

Only recently got into stargate due to my girlfriend but i'm currently working my way through SG-1 xD .... i'm on series 2

I'll prolly watch SGU when i get to that point

I finished that awhile ago and I'm checking out Atlantis now only on episode 5, prefer SG1 just cause the cast is more unique, still plenty of time for them to flesh out and expand the cast.

They did say it was going to be a lot darker than SG1/SGA and the trailer certainly shows that. Good to see there is actually a stargate on board though, or at least appears to be.
