meh there have been many predictions of about the end of the world, whatever happens happens nothing we can do about it, unless you become a god and demand everybody be good or else you'll smite them

Isn't it something to do with the Aztec or Mayan calender? They probly just stopped going forward on the calendar because it was so far into the future, and they had more important things to do than make a calendar for ~700 years later.

I doubt it means anything.

I don't believe in superstition. And whoever does believe it is a bit...retarded.

But then again NASA said there will be much more asteroid activity or something in space, and if one of 'em crashes into Earth, that might end the world like with the dinosaurs.

This I find to be really funny, No I don't believe the world will end that early. I believe that one day the sun will explode and destroy all humanity but that will take millions of years to happen. So I find this to be superstition and I don't believe it will happen. I know someone above mentioned the Aztec calender and I believe they just decided to stop on that day because that was quite a few thousand years ago when they made their calender. Oh yeah, I also heard the internet is coming to an end on the same day. Just plain old rubbish trying to get people to think and act better on earth or something along those lines.

there could be a comet that whips us out today, or we could live on earth for another 100 millon years.

I don't believe the world is going to end then. They "predicted" a lot, but what they did predict could relate to anything if you have an imagination. Similar to horoscopes and such. My friend gets very nervous about that though. It got so bad he had to talk to a therapist about it and went on anxiety medication XD

I heard on that date the Sun and the Milky Way will be a in some kind of position together that the Sun's rays will be radiated by the Milky Way and it will poison us all, something like that. :-s
