Tbh if the FBI or any form of government agency wants to find out what you're up to, one way or another they'd do it. This isn't exactly all that shocking, it's not as if they've only recently developed means of spying.

I read fairly recently about plans by the UK government to create a database of all mobile calls, texts and emails.

The UK government wanted all our details on one identity card. Everything about you on one card that you'd carry about and would be required to have.

That got thrown out, thank god. Although it did have some advantages.

Incidentally, Americans, of course your government is spying on you.

If you're a known/suspected drugs dealer/arms runner etc etc. Normal citizens have nothing to worry about.
