If you ever plan on having those annoying, whinging little *******, how lenient will you be?

Will you punish them if they swear out of frustration?
Would you make them tidy their room?
Would you buy them treats if they demand them?

ETC.

They'd yeah, I'd be reaaaallly hard on them but rewarding if they do well. Make em work for things.

So no i wont punish out of frustration.
Yeah they'd tidy there room and other stuff.

Kids aren't as bad as you think, Alex. Bet you didn't know that I'm not even a teenager? And I'm not a "Whinging little *******"

On topic: Yeah, kids are pretty cool. Sure they can be a handful (kinda ironic, I'm babysitting my sister right now, tbh)

I'll punish my kids enough when they're children who don't have the nerve to swear. I don't really order them to clean their rooms, only before occasions, as in having a friend over or family visiting or something. I will NOT, repeat NOT give them treats if they demand, in which if they do beg, I'll knock some sense into them.
There you have it.

I did know that, actually. :P

Yes I admit, some kids are polite and well-mannered because of the way they have been brought up.

Others... Aren't. :x Some kid was with his friends and was trying to be all "gangsta". It was pathetic.

Yeah, you're right.

On topic: My sister's a mess. My mom says only to call during emergencies, and my sister thinks that not getting the right number is an emergency, so I had to pretend to talk to my mom and tell her that it wasn't an emergency and to not call again. Meh.

o.0

That's still a kid to me. I view you as a child until you hit 18 tbh, same as I'd treat my children. XD They'd still be a child till they hit 18.

I would treat them if they did well in school and did their chores before other things and listened to their parents then that would be fine with me. I wouldn't mind if they asked for things as long as they did the above mentioned. Swearing I wouldn't mind as long as it wasn't constant and I would never buy them things if they "demanded" it.

(e.g. Dad, I want that [thing], NOW. or Can I please please please etc. have [thing]?)

After sixteen years of living with people...

I learned that I don't work well with human beings.

I'm living alone.

I hope to have them one day, but not for ages yet.

Tbh I don't know how I'll be, it's fairly obvious when you look around you can't treat two people the same way and I guess it's the same for kids. You've got to rely on instinct to determine how the best way to raise your child is, though you don't really get that until you're old enough to realise what your parents have done to you have helped you be who you are also; Which is why these teenage mothers raise such terrible people.

Punishments? Depends with age, I won't be having a 12yr old **** nor will I want a 7yr old who swears all the time, and when they get older they'll have less restrictions placed on them.

Semi-related fact: I want lots of kids.

Will you punish them if they swear out of frustration?
Yes. Find better words to express your frustration other than "f***!!!". Once in a while isn't that big of a deal though. It's just that kids don't really know the term "moderation" or "tact" most of the time.
Would you make them tidy their room?
Yeah. I don't want to get injured walking into their room.
Would you buy them treats if they demand them?
Um no. XD Who's going to say yes to that?

My mums always been the disciplinarian in our house and I think that every family needs one parent that's a little more relaxed.

Those questions were just examples BTW. :P If you have any others... Feel free.

Maybe demand isn't the right word. How about a child asks for something. However, you say "No". Would the no be your final decision or would you let your child convince you to say yes? XD

There are a few simple rules. From the very beginning, literally, from the moment your child is born:
-- treat him/her as a person, not as your property
-- don't use physical force ever, instead devout your time and explain
-- be honest with your child
-- spend time with your child and be a friend not a policemen
This way you won't have to punish your child at all! Even when he/she is in teens. You would also don't have 'buy me this or that' problem. A lot of good things happen when you treat your small children as human beings in honest way without abusing your power.
