Thoughts on America...

As I was in the clan chat today, Creepy and I had a conversation about America, and what the pros and cons were on it, so I want to know what you think of it. Pros and Cons? Would you move there?

As for me, I just moved from the states to England, so anyways...

As you found out, I'm not a fan.

I'd not like to live there. I'd be happy to live anywhere in Europe though, with a few exceptions (france being a big one.)

I haven't even been there, and I wouldn't want to live in France. I went to a mini-France in the states. It's called New Orleans. It smells like urine and trash cans everywhere you go.

Errm...You live in the UK, that's apart of Europe. So you have.

I hope Finland isn't one of the "exceptions".

Ahh, but Dokter Bob, I highly doubt that France would be bad because one of the cities in America is.

Yeah, it's good for a holiday but I really wouldn't like to live there. :oops:

Some of the accents can get quite irritating as well. xD

And what part of France it's supposed to be modeled from? France is quite a large country.

well..I live in North America and I think it is an awesome place. I love living here although there are times were I wanan get away from the states and do some traveling to other countries like australia,ireland,and italy..(others but not gonna take the time to list em

)..but all in all I think America is a pretty good place with occasional set-backs

I'd like to see some/most of it someday. But I'm not really a fan of the typical american. At least we british can admit when we've messed up; when something bad happens in America - Aliens did it.

Oh, and the national anthem. Oh for crying out loud - it's just a bloody flag. If you're gonna have a national anthem at least sing about how sucessful your country it, not some wavy peice of cloth. XD

... On the other hand, if there was no America, Not many of us would be typing right now.

Shes the queen. She rules the country. She's basically superior to every Brit there is. We sing 'God save the Queen' because she is our ruler, our superior. I highly doubt a flag can control peoples actions :roll:

(however I must admit, Parliament does have quite a lot of power too).

Well when you refer to a queen who doesn't just rule over this country but several others as "an old lady", When shes kept us free, done a lot of good deeds you're going to upset a few people.

I think the point he was trying to make is, a flag doesn't make you free. In fact a flag does absolutely nothing and he didn't understand why you sung about it. If you want to ask opinions on America, you really should be prepare to get a few bad comments.

Lets try to move on from that, because it's a bit stupid arguing over it.

The American national anthem is stupid but it's better than the Scottish.

That's about a war with England, in which they lost. It's like the Germans having their anthem about WW2. Ridiculous.
