There were celebrations in Iraq as Saddam Hussein walked to the gallows

CNN

Here are a few more articles of Saddam's hanging

"Now there is peace. Saddam is dead"

Hussein buried in same cemetery as sons

Please don't go overboard with all the things he did and such...i'm simply posted all of these "Breaking News" articles so people can know about it too.

Hardly something to celebrate..but whatever, don't really care tbh.

I disagreed with him being killed from the start.

How can you disagree, and not care at the same time?

If anyone in the world today should be executed, certainly he's the guy.

Saddam's hanging is nothing to celebrate. Not only has the United States killed many many more Iraqis than Saddam and the so called "insurgents (sp?)," but it's a demonstration of the US's power over the free world. Screw the trials, they might as well have just killed him in that **** hole he was hiding in.

Not to imply that US officials are heartless, but i think they just didn't want Saddam to live into the new year.

I disagreed with the death penalty while the trial was going on, i always have been against it killing people as a punishment.

However, i'm not going to lose sleep over such a man being killed. If he deserved it though, Bush deserves it to he's killed plenty of innocent people, he started an illegal war..it's funny the double standards that go on in this world.

Tbh I think bush deserves the same punishment, if not worse.

Really i would rather be killed than spend the rest of my life in a cold dark cell eating rat droppings...so i think they should have given him 10 life sentences.

America dident kill him. He was put on trial by his own country, we just caputered him. For all we knew he would have been in a cell the rest of his life. I twas up to the jury adn the judge to decide not us.

if you watched the trials you'll see it's messed up. a lot of the testimonies are from Iranians whose families were killed in the war (hello? it's a war...), and Iraqis who've spent maybe 5 years in Iraq and spent most of their lives in the US.

The number of US soldiers killed in Iraq has now exceeded the number of people who died in the two towers. 1 in 40 of the iraqi population have died as a result of the war. Bombings and terrorist acts are still prevalent all over Iraq. There is no peace, and there wont be for many years yet.

And it's all Bush's fault.

I don't see why you all blame Bush, he's doing it to the best of his abilitys.
Sure he could wipe iraq off of the map and put up a small America in its place by just dropping a few nuclear bombs. But that would kill thousands of innocent Iraqis. And I don't think any of us RSbandbers could do any better then Bush is doing, so we shouldn't blame him.

The one thing about Saddam's execution is that it would be bad if he thought of himself as a martyr for his cause, in which case we should have left him alive in some prison.

Terroist attacks in America won't stop until all the Iraqi suicidal people have been caught or killed themselves. They've been in USA for years before the war started, their just hiding.

1. just because one can do something, doesn't he mean should.
2. simply because we cannot do any better, it does not mean we can't think that someone else CAN do better.
3. you seem to think that terrorist attacks continue to occur in the US, which is quite wrong.
