PS3 vs. Wii

Yes! It's the Sony PS3 vs. the Nintedo Wii! Please cast your vote on which one you'd prefer and maybe provide a solution along with the answer you have chosen. Post your rants but make sure to behave.

Factors:

Price_
- Sony PS3 costs approximently $600.
- Nintendo Wii costs approximently $300.

Personally I preffer the PS3 because it's much more structured. It has many more features. But I also don't mind the Nintendo Wii for its much cheaper price and I love Mario. I like more PS3 games then I do for Nintendo.

I'd go with Nintendo Wii.

For one thing, I've always liked Mario & Company. Another, PS3 = Big $$$. Finally, I never liked the whole PS setup..just seems more confusing to look for a square button that's the same size and color as a circle button than to look for (or in my case, know already ) a big green button or a small red button. When I first learned Nintendo controllers, I found them easier to master.

WII ill get it cause its cheaper than the PS3 also there will be dual processors in ps3...But i dont think its worth 600.00 i would by new pc for these money.

Wii.

Gameplay > Graphics.

Wii has realistic features, like you can swing Link's sword by swinging your remote.

PS3 has realistic graphics, but hey, IMO only fanboys will want it because (i)They want to play MGS DMC GTA FF. (ii)Pride, "HEY I GOT A PS3 YOU DONT HAVE ONE HAHA" (iii)Willing to spend their salary on it.

A common argument is this; "You cant afford a PS3 so you don't support it huh, well, GET A JOB!!"

First off, you'd have much better things to spend on than a PS3. If you spend all your salary on a PS3, it's really a stupid thing to do. I mean, if I had a job and get paid $1000 for it, I would rather use it for my family than to use it to buy a PS3 console AND buy their expensive games. Blu-ray isn't cheap, and isn't really easy to pirate, mind you.


Conclusion: PS3 for fanboys, Wii for gamers, X360 for garbage trucks.

ps. The Wii costs US$250 not US$300.

Im going with ps3 for this one reason, games. Nintendo has crap games, what Mario, lol. Sony has a far better games.

EDIT: I just saw the conference video. I caught a glimpse of Link wielding his sword on his left hand!

If you don't know yet, Nintendo decided that they switched Link to a right hander so that the game is more suitable for right handers. The footage proves that they have made a left hander option as well! Another reason to get a wii! (Well for me actually)

I remember the first Mario. Mario 64...I beat that after 5 years. When a game takes that long you know it's good.
