What system is Best?

Which system is best?
Sony's PS2
MS' X-box
Nintendo's Game Cube

For:
Cost
Games
Control comfort

OR should i wait?
For:
the PS3
and/or it's competitors?

Pls stat why u think that i should buy a certain system or wait

so far, i know that game cube has best feeling controlers, i like them and how they respond

ps3 is behind
x-box360 looks good
nintendo has something but not sure with what it's plans are

I would prefer to go with playstation..

But in a way it might be an idea to wait for the ps3 to come out.. Reason is that why get something old now.. when the new one is about to come out?..

I am for Xbox for cost and games, but strange as it may be, Gamecube has the most comfortable controller.

Waiting for the systems could be a good idea, Xbox 360 is coming out first I believe this November, than PS3 in spring 2006, both with extremely good graphics, but will most likely be very very pricy. $$

wait. the next generation of consoles are coming out.
personally i would go with PS3. X-box is still new tothe field and nintendo is well... lagging behind. they havn't gotten like a really hit in a long time

Nope, less. 360 comes out in November. PS3 is about a year as it will come out this spring.

I like playstation, because it is also a dvd player, and it has good games, and I like the controller. Not too large also.

The X-Box also has a DVD player, but you can't use it unless you have the remote. Stupid Microsoft, can't even satisfy the people who can't buy a remote... PS2 gets my vote by far. It all depends on what kind of games you like. X-Box have more mature and FPS games. PS2 has a lot of RPGs (which are by far my favorite). Nintendo's library consists of a lot of childish party games, which are also fun. If you plan on buying a next-generation console, I'd go with the PS3 because the specs are spectacular, and I have Microsoft. The Revolution would also be a good choice because I really like a lot of the Nintendo characters; Mario, Kirby, and Link being my favorites. I also like the idea of the Nintendo Revolution having the capabilities of downloading any previous game from the NES to the N64, which in my opinion had most of my favorite games ever, including the birth of THE BEST SERIES EVER Final Fantasy. I'm curious at what the Revolution's controller will look like, having to satisfy all of those different systems with 1 controller.
Bottom Line: PS2 is the way to go. PS3/Revolution are both my choices because of the games they will feature and past experiences with each company. NO MICROSOFT!

Any sony game you can pretty much get on xbox now anyway and there normally improved. But as everyone else says..you should go for next gen now but...wait until there all out. People in this thread seem confident sony will win..i see Microsoft putting up a big fight. Nintendo..na nothing to worry about they will suck like they always do in consoles. Sony..probably a weak line up again until they start releasing the same old games again "final fantasy 2006!". Microsoft are highering big game developers and trying to get more rpgs to get a break into the Japanese industry.

As you can see i am completely for Microsoft. That's the one i will more then likely buy when the next gen comes. Yey for xbox!

True the XBox is leading the console race because of their early release, but it could flop like the Dreamcast did when they released early before the 3 major consoles. It was hot until the 3 others came out, then it died rapidly and became forgotten. I hope this happens to the 360, it's time to end their reign on the Console World. :twisted:

PS: They don't need a new RPG series. Final Fantasy is obviously leading the genre, and it'll probably stay that way, though Shadow Hearts: Covenant is rapidly becoming one of my favorites right now. And not all Final Fantasies are the same, except for X and X-2, both good games. The only thing that's the same is the name and a few things including Chocobos and the famous Cid.

The dreamcast...meh..sega have a nack at messing everything up recently. Microsoft..i don't really think it's possible. They have enough money to stay in this for a long long time and as i've put in another thread..the ps2 had a whole year on it's own to dominate. This time the 360 gets a year to itself and will stand a good chance at competiting. I still believe the ps3 will be best seller. But sony wont completly and utterly dominate the console market this time round.

As for final fantasie...meh..i only played two..they both bored me silly don't really see whats so big about them..there average rpgs if you ask me nothing special about them.

i go for the ps2 cuz the xbox has large/heavy controllers (but xbox live rules) and the gamecube has only fantasie games no shooters except james bond so i think ps2 is best
