I'm also sick of hearing the pundits and commentators talk about how "good" England's performance was inspite of us only drawing. If you can't get the ball into the back of your oppositions net more times than vice versa, then it can't be that great a performance can it?
.

THAT got up my nose. And the excuses and false hope there trying to push on people now "oh the last time we drew like this we got this far" yada yada. Just arg..i loved the commentator saying green had redeemed himself when he made a save. No he **** hadn't. NONE of them had done that till they got there lead back which never happened..

Oh rofl, that save. I remember that, midway through the second half. The one the slow-mo replayed was so close he barely had to move his arm to save it and they wanted to treat it like some fanatical act of redemption.

Germany trounced Australia tonight, so that cheered me up. I'll probably end up supporting them. England will only let me down.

It frustrates me when the commentators are like that, but at least it isn't Andy Grey commentating because he fully hates England and English players so probably wouldn't be the best guy to do it. That save too, even though I've said he put it onto the post, he didn't really know much about it. I just hope Capello sees that Hart or James are better.

I was so astoundingly happy to see Germany kick Australia's asses. Right now, I'm pretty excited about Netherlands' victory. Both are great teams.

Anyone watch the Japan v. Cameroon match? Ugh, terrible! Those guys (The Cameroonians..lol is that a word? It is! Rock on.) could barely even operate as a team. It was just a huge mess of people getting hurt and balls getting kicked out of bounds right and left.

Paraguay put up a great fight against Italy, it was a 1-1. Man Italy couldn't pull it together and finish a goal for the win.

One of the North Korea players was crying during their national anthem. I have a funny feeling that the team will be lacking one player next match.

I caught that. Bet they'll give him a medal, not kill him. They'll probably percieve it as the type of patriotism that the jingoists in Pyongyang love.

I hope he gets a medal, he's one of North Korea's best players. Funny thing was, he wasn't like just a bit teary eyed, he was fully breaking down in front of millions.

Did anyone else hear the rumour that the game isn't going to be shown in the North Korean capital if they lose :P

I feel kind of bad for N. Korea now.

I bet the team's families are going to get sent to labour camps because of their failure to win.

North Korea did well.. they deserved a draw really.

Almost time for the second lot of group games.. they're usually better since teams are less cautious and not concerned with starting off their campaign with a loss.
