You do relise that the only reason there is so many cow, chickens ect is becasue we breed them? Overpop would never be a problem.

This is true, stopping the breeding together forcefully would seriously help population, not only in the types that we 'eat' but all types of animals.

It isn't comforting knowing that some things I'm eating once had feelings and went through pain before being turned into food, but after thinking about it I usually wake up the next day and continue a lifestyle of regularly eating meat and vegetables. And if I'm right, the food pyramid has both sections.

There's no motivation for me to lean towards either side, but I couldn't stop eating meat entirely. Avoiding it is impossible for me. There are obviously some types I don't like, but I'd have too much trouble avoiding it entirely. I wouldn't mind at least cutting down the amount of steak consumed in this house though -.-

Vegetarians have it in themselves to give up eating meat, and I comend them for it. It's something I could never do. I don't mind seeing a vegetarian influence every now and then, but too much of it gets annoying. No matter how many protests I see, it probably won't make much a difference to me.

Something I never considered though .. there are other carnivores out there that eat meat too. I mean, would we rather let cows roam free to be submitted to predators and nature and such, or heard them up and eat them ourselves? That's my two cents ... I can't think anymore :?

i eat meat always have, i like meat its good for you (when its cooked right)
but i have no beef(lol) with vegitarians as long as they dont try to push their ways on me.
i love eating meat but i dont love the pain and suffering that the little critters have to live through to get on my plate, so thats why i try to hunt for most of my meat.
atleast that way the critter doesnt suffer, and wild game is better for you then farm raised.

my sister was a vegitarian for a little while and i tryed it...i just could not do it.
some people cant live without meat and some people cant live with it.

I don't care if people become vegetarians or vegans, they are the same as me and my neighbor, it is their life and I respect their choices, some people don't like meat, or the flavor or whatever.

@religion, even with the no drinking or smoking religion I'd do it anyway which I do well its not against my religion anyway, we will be doing it as we are human and curious, Like I said I have nothing against vegetarians or vegans, drinkers or smokers, it is their life their lifestyle it is up to them not me.

I hope I make a point.

I don't care about other peoples eating habits. The way i look at it, eating the ******* is my way of showing them who's dominant.

I've never been attacked by a pig, I like to think that's cause I've eaten so many of his brothers and sisters. A goose attacked me years ago and I've eaten so many of them since that I've not had any more trouble.

You're missing out on all the good stuff. And any religion banning meat is idiotic. Why should you listen to some random priest telling you to not eat meat? DO WHAT YOU WANT WITH YOUR FOOD.

Just in case: It's called a personal opinion.

Good job openly insulting Buddhism, and I'm sure there's other religions with similar beliefs too. Now I get an imagery that you're some obese kid, judging with your impulsive "DO WHAT YOU WANT WITH YOUR FOOD."

If someone wants to be a vegetarian then I don't have a problem with that, I don't know why anyone would. Like said before, it's if they try to convince me to become one as well that bothers me.

Man, I fancy a succulent juicy medium rare steak right now. =P~

Hunting is about the same pain, but can be alot quicker death, which would ultimately be better than a slow painful slaughter..

I'm glad you tried to be something different, now you know what its like for vegetarians, I only wish I could try it.. If I tried it I'd seriously starve, because my parent's don't buy enough veggies or fruits to survive off of. Even though 90% of the time I skip the meat for dinner/lunch :\

Animals do not understand that you have ate their brothers/sisters/ect. They just are frieghtened because of the size of you. If a huge creature, 10 times your size walked up and did something, like pick you up, wouldn't you be a bit scared?

I've been attacked by multiple things before. I find it quite fun, and geese can live nasty bite marks :) good times.. good times..

Are you sure that it was because she didn't eat beef? Did she continue eating vitamins to help keep her healthy?

Coming from the person with 5 new kittens.

Eating meat is natural. Humans were meant to kill animals and eat them.

And for everyone saying bs that animals suffer too much from us, predators make the animals hurt more.

So lets just give the animals a care-free life, and store all the cows in the world away from predators!

(Get my drift)

Humans were not made to eat meat (unless you take it froma biblical passage) Human adapted over time to eat meat, our ansestors didnt have canine teeth, they had all flat, leaf eating teeth. We have adapted to be able to eat meat.

Also, you cant go blind from not eating meat since the nutriants in carrots and other vegtables are what is the most needed in your eyes, also if it was a man, wouldnt his eyes already be developed? Doesnt sound right , or possible to me.

But I have had friend who have gotten sick from going vege. It makes perfect sence really. If I started to eat meat right now, I would get really really ill. If I eat even a piece of chicken I wil throw up all night. So it makes sence it would go both ways.

@My new kittens, I seperate my females from the males, but it seems they move away, where I have little control, but I try to keep them away, I do not forcefully breed them.

Our ancestors were gorillas. We evolved from them. But we are not them.
