I think it does. ok England is as big as the state I live in, so it makes sence to have things more compact there, and to have things mroe spaced out for us.

I have been to England, things are more compact for you guys then for people that live in the states.

And how far do you travel to go to school? I bet i travel further to get to work.

I'm not saying everything is the same distance, I'm saying you can't base it on that because it's different for each person.

That's not a fair way to judge it, nor is it a legitimate reason to complain anymore than the rest of us.

Didn't want this to turn into fuel warz, but since gas is the major factor I guess it's hard to avoid. Food prices aren't doing too well either (rice for example), but it's too bad there are still people out there that don't consider gas mileage more than how cool or how big their car is - unless they need a heavy duty truck for something. Maybe if they get way too high more people will start biking or buying hybrids instead of hummers.

Hopefully we can find another reliable form of fuel or transportation to use the future

I can't remember which important leader said this, but he stated that every "Empire" had a peak, and then would begin to fall. The Roman Empire, Hilter's whole deal, etc. Maybe we are at ours.

Except America was founded on incredibly strong anti-imperialist beliefs due to the subjugation of the British empire and is therefore fundamentally against the idea of an empire, it doesn't have any colonies and there is no American empire.
