Those are amazing.

I would also say the whole of Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, and Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials.

Oh, and Garth Nix's Lirael, Sabriel and Abhorsen, as well Keys to the Kingdom books - Mister Monday, Grim Tuesday, Drowned Wednesday and Sir Thursday. I really wish he'd hurry up and write Lady Friday.

The Harry Potter series is OK, but it isnt the best.

Love that.
Also the 5 books of the Hitchikers Guide To The Galaxy trilogy by Douglas Adams.
(Yes, I know a trilogy consists of 3. You gotta read the books :) )

Really? Interesting that a hard-to-get-through book are the only books you've ever read. They're awesome though, just of more advanced literature.

I tried reading LOTR once. I got 100 pages through the first one and stopped. They're so slow!

Temple - Matthew Reilly
Ice Station - Matthew Reilly
Area 7 - Matthew Reilly
Scarecrow - Matthew Reilly

Basically any Matthew Reilly book, best auther ever. Period.

HP is alright, not the best though.
Series Of Unfortunate Events, good, but kind weird...
Alex Rider Series, very good, near the top of my list...

Some books I would like to read so don't start flaming me if you say yours is better, because chances are, I haven't, but want to, read it yet...

I don't enjoy science fiction or fantasy books, but mysteries are fine for me. My favorite would be all of Dan Brown's work, including Digital Fortress and Da Vinci Code.

I might be weird, but I prefer reading nonfiction books.

I like epics as well...

I also enjoy harry potter (yeah, yeah) and most of gary paulsons books... hatchet and the others arent really that advanced in terms of plot or anything, but they are relitively vivid and entertaining enough to hold my attention.

Off topic: I saw a movie on T.V. the other night... I remember thinking like: "Wow this is seriously the best plot ever"... and now I can't remember what i watched.

Digital Fortress is amazing. All of Dan Brown's books have an incredibly unexpected twist towards the end of them. Have you read Deception Point? That's great too.

And yes, whoever said the Darren Shan books. They are pretty god-like too. I'm reading his new book series, new book just came out and I'm already halfway through it. Bec, incase anyone wondered. Definately worth a read.
