Well, just a few minutes ago Bonds tied Hank Aaron for number of home runs, and now he may go and break it. For any baseball fans, this is quite a big thing.

Now, for the topic to discuss, do you think Bonds was a 'roid user? Or do you think he was all pure skill for all those homers?

In similar news, A. Rod just hit his 500th earlier today, making him the youngest player to get to 500.

8/08

He just broke the record.

I think bonds didnt use modern steroids, he has passed every test the MLB gave him. I do think he took some kind of mussel inhanser, look at bonds his rookie year and now. Breaking Hank Aron's record is a big deal, but i see it being stripped from him if they find he used Roids. Arod is the youngest baseball player to break 500 btw.

Yeah, I said that.

And specify exactly what you mean by muscle enhancers that aren't steroids?

The MLB is interviewing a chemist from San Fransisco. Maybe he made a kind a roid that cant be detected.

Look at this pic, he had to have took something.

I remember watching the game when Bonds broke the single season record for home runs. Him breaking the career home runs record is going to be just as exciting if not more.

As for steroid use, I'm not really sure what to think. Part of me wants to think there is no way he has hit that many home runs without juicing up on something, while and another part wants to believe he has achieved it through pure skill.

I guarantee I'm a bigger baseball fan than anyone here.

Chris, at least spell his name right.

When (and if,) Bonds took steroids, he basically said to himself, "Instead of stealing bases, I'll hit a few extra home runs."

Was it the right choice? I can't say, because I don't know that he took.

Kyle, that pic is from over 20 years ago. Obviously a guy is going to grow in mass from when he's 20 to when he's 40. (I don't want to see Prince Fielder when he's 40  )

I think it would be better for him, and all of baseball, if he hits his next one in San Fran where it belongs. That's the important home run.

About A-Rod... that guys a huge *******, but he can definitely hit. Lets just hope he doesn't turn out like Jimmie Foxx. (Does anyone understand that? )

P.S., Babe Ruth is and will always be the greatest home run hitter and baseball player of all time. Anyone want to argue, be my guest.

Honestly, for his age, 99.9% 'roid user.

Fangda, I'll take that challenge for biggest baseball fan.

Steroids or not, Barry is still a pheonomonal (sp) player and would have been a HOF no matter what. With Steroids, he would hit 756 without Steroids he still would have reached around 650. I don't think that he took Steroids, if anything he took Human Growth Hormones to make him bigger. In the end providing A-Rod avoids injury he's on the pace to get around 800. And yeah, I do understand the Jimmie Foxx reference.

Congratz to Bonds, he is still a great baseball player none the less. I wonder how much he will pay to get the ball back from the fan.
