The simpsons to be cancelled

I doubt it very much somehow. Probably about time to kill it off...but i say that as a 23 year old adult. Could be the next generation of kids growing up now are enjoying it just as much as i did as a kid. Well enjoy it kiddies. I plan to wreck this world as much as possible leaving you with bugger all to enjoy as adults. Did i type that out loud??

This is sad but not too much. It's not like they didn't accomplish something. They've been the longest running animated series in america, translated in over 50 countries and became a cultural reference. They can easily leave in peace if they have to, because they've had their glory days, I'm probably not the only one who noticed that more recent seasons weren't as good as the early ones.

Sure it would be sad, but it wouldn't be ''unfair''.

It's probably about time, I have never been a fan. What really hurt them I think though is the popularity of South Park and Family Guy in recent years.

whatever you are smoking, can i have some? south park and family did not diminish the popularity of simpsons. i believe they actually helped out each other considering how much they use each other for material.

Most shows don't even make it this long. Pretty remarkable it's lasted with the same voice actors and artist. Might be about time to retire the show as sad as that seems.

Seems pretty fitting to end on a 25th season (and over 500 episodes). Glad they could reach a deal. Hope these last two are just as good as the others.

I love The Simpsons but I'm not that sad over this news. There are so many great episodes (and some stupid ones) but all good things have to come to an end sometime.

I really think the show should start to rap everything up, it's been running for 20-something years and I think it's time for it to end. The problem I had with it is that it didn't have a constant story line. I prefer shows which have definitive story lines. Having said that I think The Simpsons had a unique feel to it.

Each individual episode had its own story that quickly wrapped up in the end and everything reverted back to the beginning, except for a few permanent character deaths and the 2-episode-long "Who shot Mr. Burns?".
