New hurricane possible threat to the eastern US and Canada

I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but in Missouri (south east MO) it has not stopped raining all day.

That actually is related to the hurricane believe it or not. The rain that your area is experiencing is from a cold front. If that cold front comes quick enough it should push Earl out to sea and the EC will only get minimal effects. However if it comes slowly then Earl might even make landfall on the EC and that would be devastating.

UPDATE : Earl is now approaching North Carolina and has strengthened to a CATEGORY 4 storm. Anyone on the east coast, you have only a day to prepare now. Anyone in NC and Maryland GET OUT NOW BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE! God bless all who might be in this hurricane's path.

yea, i mean it just stopped raining. This is most and hardest it has rained here in a few years.

Hopefully everyone is safe near the more wet areas

Hurricane warning in my area for end of tomorrow and beginning of Friday. Might make landfall or we just may be grazed. ******* goin' down.

Ah, I remember the last time a hurricane hit the Northeast. Well, it's not going to do anything much, just give me some wind, a bunch of rain (because we havn't had enough yet, we had one day where we got 4+ inches), and the temperature is going to drop from the 90s to the 60s. Time to enjoy it.
