It's a good idea in theory, but unnecessary as well as having the potential to backfire as Ryan was saying, but in many ways. Sure, you might be able to track people almost everywhere you go, but I figure it would be cheaper to just put chips in people and track them that way and store any pertinent information on them there?. Privacy, though you might not value it Shane (or anyone else that thinks the same), is still valuable to many, if not the majority of people. If you are in public, it's somewhat a different matter, but people still try to maintain privacy even when in public. I understand the motive, but the ends don't justify the means, not to mention the fact you would probably put every policeman out of work as they wouldn't be as necessary to enforcing the law.
Anyways, that's my two cents, but on a much funnier note, imagine if you broadcast your life out in public. It might look something like this...
