Oh man. I forgot the best modern hip hop artist. If you have not heard of Scroobius Pip, I beg you to listen. Here is one of his well written songs.

Meh, I like a lot of rap, good to see a non-rap-hating thread here, most people post things like "rock vs rap" and rap gets bashed a lot.

Im hearing you there sister. Often if Ryan likes a song he will link me to it and I will like it too. As said before I really hate mainstream rap (althought Numb/Encore by JayZ/Linkin Park was pretty good) those songs you have posted are quite easy on the ear. The problem I have with rap is usually they are shouting at you to music, swearing 80% of the song.

Bleh, I don't care whether it's mainstream or so obscure that ten people have listened to it: It's rap, therefore it's crap.

I would listen to the examples you gave, but judging by your spoiler, I can already tell you I don't like them.

I dont care much for any new rap, but the old rap is great. Ill post some of my favortie songs. There pretty bad so ill post the clean version under a spoiler.
