Why my place is famous.

Well I was just thinking of Barrie(where I live) and what I think should happen to make it better. And one thing I agree with is the construction of Park Place. Simply put, its just a big plaza lots of different things to it. Anyways that got me to thinking of what happen 2 years ago. Barrie was host to Live8. And I thought how many other people remember this? Not alot, but hell, my place is famous. I also got to thinking of what else happened there, which was a drug bust. And mainly only people from Canada might know this one that happened at Park Place or even better the Molson Plant. Park Place is not one reason why Barrie is "famous" but it is something to look at.

Is where you live "Famous" for any reason? Whether it be some person was born or something that the other people in the world might know.

I live 10 mins from where Ernest Rutherford was born (guy who split the atom).

I think you mean Colonel Sanders. The military is messed up that way. See how they spell Lieutenant. Now to pronounce it you say it left-tenant. But I think thats just Navy. Not completely sure. I think it may only be in certain places. But I've heard it pronounced that way. And Colonel is pronounced like kurnel, you know like a popcorn kernel. English language is screwed up that way.
