360 would have had a 256. i believe, or maybe a 128? not sure..

Im sure that xbox360 has a 256 or a 512mb videocard, both which you can buy for pc.

Yeah, I think it's 128. I know the PS2 had a 128, and Gamecube has two 64's.

ps2 has a 128!?  . i thought it would be like a 64 or something. and normal xbox would have 96, and x360 would have a 128.I'm still wandering why some ps2 games have such bad graphics...hmm probably
developers too lazy :o

its kinda like a sequence, ps1 and nintendo 64, have, 64mb graphics :P

then ps2 and xbox 128

i can only assume xbox 360 will have 256mb video card. :S 256 still seems kinda low considering you can get 512 for pc's.

PS2 with a 64? N64 had 64, hence the N64. :P
And Super Nintendo had 32, and NES had 16.

And PS2's, Xbox's, and GC's graphics all looked pretty similar to me. Just depended on the size of the game.

If it was 512 wouldnt the price of 360 have been higher?

Wow, imagine the graphics in 2048mb graphics cards in the future :|

Yes it would go up a bit. The amount of memory a video card has doesn't make a huge difference in the output though. The main thing that you want when looking for a vodeo card is the core processor speed. If it has a good speed then it will work well. The more memory that goes with that the better it will be, but memory isn't going to make all that big of a difference. Or atleast it doesn't on my pc.

Well, with my graphics card the memory means almost everything. If I'm using too much of it, I wont be able to render some of my fractals. :(

If the 360 had 256MB video memory, them my computer will be just as good, but I know any console system will beat a computer at graphics anytime, so I think its at least a 512.

Consoles may have cutting edge tech when released, but computers are way easier to upgrade, and are done so a lot more regularly than a games console is (i.e. never)

Seeing as 360 is new, I could accept that it 'may' beat a computer graphics wise, but before long, graphics tech will have prgressed firther and computers will own once again :)

I never liked computer games that much, considering that you always have to upgrade your GFX(i just got that word off the internet...) and i console sysytem is around the same price as a GFX card for computer, but consoles usually stay for around 5-10 years, so each 5 years youl have 1000 dollars to spend on your xb0x and p52, not g4m3cub3, n1n73nd0 s71nk5
