People who seeks for artist with talents, unlike people who enjoys Justin Bieber,Lil Wayne and all the mainstream crap.

I agree that John Williams did an amazing job with Star Wars.
My favorite is Shirley Walker. Sadly, she's dead. She made the music for the movie Batman The Mask Of Phantasm (which I believe is even better than TDK)

Hans Zimmer would be my runner-up. He did an amazing job on Batman Begins (lol yeah I'm a BatFan)

I'd have to say Frank Klepacki. He's done most of the music for the Command & Conquer series (the best games anyhow) and he's come out with some very good gems.

John Williams is BEAST.

But I love Hans Zimmer too. He did the POTC music, among others.

I won't claim to know a lot of composers, but Hans Zimmer is the only one featured prominently in my music library. His work with the Dark Knight (and now Inception too, which was fantastic) blew me away.

Time for some classical composer spam:

Beethoven, Liszt, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, Ravel.

And Thanatip Viturawong: amazing contemporary piano composer.

As far as movie/video game composers go: John Williams, Howard Shore, Hans Zimmer, Joe Hisaishi, and Nobuo Uematsu are all beasts.
