Dream Theater

One of my friends has been listening to Dream Theater for quite a while now, so I just recently decided to check them out, but so far only the cd Octavarium. I was absolutely blown away with their talent. Anyone else here like them?

Dream Theater is absolutely amazing. I love most of their songs, though I prefer them without lyrics.

This is exactly the way I am. I like their instrumental work but sometimes the vocals kill the songs.

My favorite song is These Walls.

They are a fairly good band, I went thru a phase where I over-listened to them to the point where I didn't want to listen to them anymore.

DT has been recommended to me by several friends and now you guys so I'll go check them out

I've heard a couple of the songs before, I LOVED them!

Dream Theater is one of my favourite bands. I'm a really big fan of them and Liquid Tension Experiment (Associated with Dream Theater).
Mike Portnoy has all my respect. The way he plays the drums is amazing. His whole drum kit looks like a small barn.

One of my favorite song would be Another Day, I don't know, I really like ''slow'' songs nowdays.

Two friends got me hooked on Dream Theatre, so, I of course got most of their CD's. My favorite song is "A Nightmare to Remember". if you like their instrumental stuff, get their newest album Black Clouds and Silver Linings, it's mostly instrumental.

And if you want more instrumentals, buy the special edition of Black Clouds and Silver Linings cause it has a CD of the album's track in instrumental version

Not so keen on the newer stuff but the Images & Words and Awake albums from the 1990's are the best IMHO.

Can anyone here play guitar like Petrucci ?
