8 August 2008 - 22 New RuneScape Worlds

What I would like to know, why does it look like there are only 5 new ones, but the rest just are location changes? :S
If it's so, "We've removed 17 servers and added 22 new ones." Would of been more accurate. -_-

Not sure how much this will help the people who live closer to the servers, but unless your connection really blows, I doubt you'll notice much of a difference.

I'm all for more players, but I think they'll have more success with advertising online or on Television more than just adding new worlds. After all, if you don't know it's here to begin with, why would you come?

Well, there are more lootshare worlds. For God Wars hunters, they could get more time on getting kills rather than switching worlds and crashing.

Hmm.. guess it'll make people in those countries happy. Still keeping the homeworld at 100 though

Personally I think it makes players from different countries feel more welcome, creating a feeling on international unity or something, not just a british/american/aussie game.

I agree but does Jagex really have a big enough advertising budget to have Tv ads?

On topic:
I don't like how they worded this update, pretty misleading but at least europe and southamerica have closer servers.

I think they'll have to include a spanish/portugues version of rs if they want to expand into south america more and a french/italian version for more expansion in europe.

Always better to have more servers. But as Warren points out Jagex's claims were a little misleading.

It's always good to have more worlds, but we really don't need any more.

gotta love how the mexicans stole the canadien world. I wouldnt call it 22 "new worlds" but itsw tstill a decent update thx to the new countries involved in runescape.
