20 November 2006 - Game-world locations renamed

Therefore naming our game-worlds with exact city names is misleading as it makes exact location seem more important than it really is. We have therefore relabelled our game-world locations to give better visibility on which are best for you to choose from.

The numbers after each location are to distinguish between different facilities in the same area of the world. If one particular facility is causing lag for you it's easy to see which ones you could try instead.

We have also moved some of our game-worlds to Finland to improve our European coverage. There are still the same number of free and members only worlds as before.

I don't use their world select. I made one myself... Can't enter the finnish worlds though now. But who cares about that? :roll:

World names don't matter, I always go to the same world. No Hunter skill? 0/5..

That is just confusing :S

They did this while they could have made quests.

(And no, not the crappish quests they keep coming up with, actual, real quests)

I mean what did they do open the world select page in notepad and changed the names?? I think this is an excuse to not releasing hunting.....what they found a bug or somthing? outa time? If they can't take the skill on time, don't tell us at all!!
this complete new is stupid there is no in game/ or out of game update!

It funny how people aren't smart enough to realise that JaGeX made this small update because obviously next week there is going to be a large update possibly the new skill and quest. :roll:

Yes, it's that simple.

I don't think I'll ever use this, plus it was just something that JAGeX threw together again so they could delay the release of Hunting. Or in their words, "Put the finishing touches on it."

I was looking forward to Hunting when I got on, but I guess JAGeX is gonna hold it another week.

Eh, world renaming.. doesn't affect me in the slightest. I use a US world. lol

Yeah, when i opened opera and checked the RS main page, i was like OMG Hunter skill came out TODAY??? I'm going to check that now, maybe this gets me back to play Runescape :wink:
