Those players who have completed the Dragon Slayer quest will already be able to get anti-dragonbreath shields from the Duke of Lumbridge. Oziach the Master Smith has recently found a way for members to upgrade this shield using a draconic visage - a powerful artefact from a forgotten age that is only occasionally dropped by powerful dragons. Combining the draconic visage with the anti-dragonbreath shield will result in a new type of shield: the dragonfire shield.

The dragonfire shield's power relies on storing dragonfire. The shield absorbs dragonfire just like the anti-dragonbreath shield, but every time it does so its stats become a little more powerful. The shield is also effective against the breath of skeletal wyverns (although it won't store any of it). The stored dragonfire can also be released by operating the shield, slightly reducing the shield's stats but firing a blast of dragonfire at an opponent!

On the topic of dragons, we've also updated Crandor to make it look more like the woeful place it became after Elvarg arrived. You'll also notice that the dungeon connecting Crandor to Karamja has been improved, and Elvarg's lair looks much more like a place a dragon might choose to live.

That could be rather interesting. People might try to charge it up and then take it pking to hit a huge number when their opponent is low on HP.

where do you get the draconic visage anyway?

That's easy. You get them from dragons. Than you've to go to Oziach if you don't have 90 smithing and pay 600k (?) to get your dragonfire shield.

I also heard that the dragon thing is tradeable and that the shield is not tradeable. But I'm not sure about this one.

The visage is a drop from the adult black dragons, the kbd, metal dragons and skeletal wyverns.

how much is it cause i want to buy 1 lol because its new and it looks SOOOO COOL and so does the newly updated anti dragon shield also for lumbridge castle

I believe the Draconic Visage is actually a pretty rare drop, and is selling at a very high price of over 25million.

edit: The fully charged 50/50 shield is better than the dragon square shield, as well.

I've read so many dragon hunting guides today because I really want a new Dragonfire shield. It looks pretty good and its stats are outstanding when its fully charged.

It is nice that the shield stats would increase after every time dragonbreath hits it, but I don't think that it is really necessary to become part of the game. But still, it is pretty decent and Jagex still deserves credit for taking time and effort into making this.

Haha its about time they get a better shield out, tryed getting 1 b4 my members expired but got granite legs instead
