berserker necklace

i bought mine at 3m not long ago. used it for about 2 days...
i don't really care its only 3m but just today i look at the g.e and its 2.5m so i sold it lowest at 2.4m
its been 1 1/2 days no one has bought it. i didn't bother checking the g.e chart thingies before buying... looks like it was dumped.

to make my life easier what do i do

:

im in no rush really. should i keep it in the bank till it gets merched again

or

wait 2 weeks when it drops to a stable price and sell ( probably be 1.8m )
seeing that it wont sell in 1 1/2 days at lowest

reason behind it was becuase, a level 130 was using it to train str. he said its better than using a d simi. since i had lots of money i thougt it was worth a try so i bought it and that obby sword so 3.1m in total. turned out i was getting better exp/h on simi...

I think you should hold it until it gets merched again, just to get back your original investment at least. I don't think it's worth to try and sell now, only later when it's more valuable, trading at a loss is only good when you can short sell, and in RS, you can't short sell.

I had a similar experience with the vestas skirt. I bought it at 5m and it was continually going down so I just ended up alching it because i was done with it.

alching an item which is 2m+ for 121,200 coins is dumb.

I am currently having the same experience as you with the d pick. i bought it for about 14.4, and now it's down to 13.8 or something. it's a great tool, and i'm using it constantly. I think you should just keep it and wait til it goes back up. as i always say, what goes down in the market will eventually go back up.

A question for both of you: Did you buy it to use or to merchant?

If you bought it to use then it doesn't matter what the value currently is because you bought it to use, not to gain money.

If you bought it to merchant then you should still keep it because if you sell you'll be losing money.

Either way, I'd keep the item in question unless you really need the money.

I had a similar situation like this. I bought an SS for ~8m and was using it for slayer. A week or so later and it dropped to ~6m. At the time it seemed like I lost ~2m. However I bought it to use, not to merchant, so the current market value didn't matter to me. I rarely sell equipment that I buy anyways, but if I was to sell one I wouldn't sell it for less than I paid for it.

Yeah, simple rule. If you bought it to use, don't worry about the price. If you bought it to merch, then wait until it goes above the price you bought it for, no matter how long that may be.
