Why did you retire?

Hey i was thinking one day and i realized there are quite a few retired RS players here, and i was wondering why you retired.

The game just doesn't appeal to me as much as it used to.

I'd log on and then log off in a matter of minutes out of sheer boredom.

I'll probably get back into it, it's only a matter of time.

My reason is very simple:

I didn't.

... and if I did, it would probably be because I've got too many responsibilities to continue with it.

But otherwise, I didn't.

the only thing that offers variety is combat.

i'm maxed melee and 99 range, i have nothing else to do.

I just slowly started staying on less and less, and eventually, I just couldn't stay on at all. I started playing a bit when PvP returned, but it's not that same as it was, and all of my friends I used to pk with quit, making it rather boring.

Once I got banned, I realized that there was really no point to build up an online character and then get nothing out of it

Didn't retire yet. But would've a year and a half ago when I had only 200k to buy monkfishes for 99 cooking after I got lured. Had it not been my friends that I met at Rogues Den to inspire me and give me 500k, I would've quit. Maybe if Jagex takes away all my stuff in my bank, then I would quit.

My addiction was getting worse day by day. Also I saw that the main point of the game was to become #1, which I knew I couldn't do. I've gone from C's to A's in school though.

It got boring, and allof RS seemed very repitive and boring. Then i started to play CoD4 and began to think wtf am I wasting my time on RS for when I could play a shooting game.

I only go on once in a blue moon to talk to an RL friend.

Simply got bored; i loved slaying but with smoking kills they changed too much and the sudden increase in slayers in the training areas made it a lot harder to get anything done. I spent far too long swotching worlds so I just got annoyed. Thing is; there really wasn't many other aspects to the game I actually enjoyed.

Well i retired becouse of school too much homeworks/project just no time to rs i still get on time to time for clan events and stuff like that.. But i noticed rs just not so fun as it used to be so it started to get boring.
