do you take a lot of crap for playing runescape??

yes that right wen you tell someone that you don't know well that you play runescape what do you get back most the time what I get back is. almost never good..... I get told that I'm hella *** for playing runescape and that runescape is a hella *** game that 5Th grades play... that runescape is **** stupid and a lot of unkind stuff like that I think that it comes from all the 5th grades that do play and mess up F2p ever sins I went members in I think it was fall 07 18Months or so after I started playing I have not had any or very little of what people think runescape is all about the noob! I get the that game has bad graphics!! all the time. but I think that in most people minds runescape is a crappy game for little kids........ that has no good gaming story or graphics! has anyone other then me ever had the same reaction? from people in high school,middle school collige or people that don't play runescape in general

I'm the only one of my friend who still plays runescape. They all quit as noobs, honestly I'm proud of what I've become. However I did go to the library and saw all these little kids playing, and I was obligated to give them helpful advice. I felt really old, either way, yes I take alot of it from my friends.

I don't normally tell people I don't know very well that I play Runescape. I mean it's not like it just comes up in discussions a lot.
"Hey nice to meet you! My name is Sharon and I play Runescape!" XD
My friends will sometimes tease me about it but nothing too serious.
I'll make fun of myself about it all the time.
Sometimes I can sound pretty geeky when I'm talking about it.
"Hey Dad, since I'm getting good grades can I get a new graphics card for my computer so I can play Runescape in High Detail?" XD

Then I get made fun of by that person.

and this is the funny part, (all three times this happened). . .
each person has asked me for my runescape name so they could add me.

yes I like to think that I give RS'ers a good name too

and sorry warren did not know that **ing part of it is avoiding the censor.

3 of my friends used to play runescape till a few moths ago 2 of them got 360's and the other sorta quiet but still plays when he can/is bored...and I just met someone who's whole family plays both parents and little sister wow!!!

Well in middle school, yes, you are instantly a unpopular nerd if you play runescape.

Right now, I'm going to a nerdy and anti-social high school, so dunno, you fit right in if you play runescape there.

I take a lot of heat when people hear I play.... So I just tell em I do online gaming and a lot of the time they think WoW so Im safe there for the most part...

Okay hmm... To start with your paragraph, it was difficult reading it with all those misplaced periods and all.

When I went to Elementary school (5th and 6th) I normally only told ppl I played RS if I heard them prior saying that they play RS.
But when I did that, I found them out to be completely noobs begging off of me.

So the only people at my school atm I trust in telling that i play RS is my two best friends. They're both interested in RS, but a few things:
One of them has a computer that gets a BSoD every day pretty much.
One of them has parents that think he is gonna turn into a lazy piece of crap because of RS. And they haven't even let him play. (He made his acc at my house. Can't work on it more)

So I don't tell anybody now.

Basically, anyone at my lunch table or in class that I know just goes "runescape *** lol" with no reasonable explination for their insults ... so I just ignore it, as usual

although playing WoW AND RS doesn't make it any better #-o

I don't tell anyone unless I know they'll be interested and/or willing to listen, or I hear someone else talking about it (which in that case I jump right in the conversation). I told my APCS class and they were cool with it, some had even played before. Otherwise I just keep quiet about RS, since I don't look like the kind of person who'd play it.
