"Not a lot of people play RuneScape anymore"

Oh, give me a break. There is constantly over 100,000 people playing during most evenings so don't assume that not a lot of people are playing anymore or that RuneScape is dead now. Just because a few little cry babies and whiners don't like change certainly doesn't mean RuneScape is dead now. Do you think this update is another tragic episode such as the removal of the player-killing in the wilderness? Are people actually quiting because of the new graphics? I've heard five people complain and state that less people are playing or that RuneScape is dead now because of this.

I seriously have no idea what you're talking about, I've heard nobody say this kind of stuff due to the new graphics... But it looks to me that there are more people playing than ever.

Yes, and with everyone experiencing lag, more and more people are continually downloading the game.

Runescape isn't dead, especially with the new grapics ... I don't know how anyone can think it is. Some of my friends that quit after pking was taken out found renewed interest after the graphical update, they just do slayer now. It could just be me, but the p2p worlds seem to be getting more crowded than usual.

True, Runescape has over 100,000 players on at least every minute of every day. But, I remember when there was constantly over 200,000 people on. Runescape hasen't "died", but it has lost alot of people. The way I like to put it is Runescape has Cancer.

I've noticed an all time low in May. (well since 2006, because if I'm gonna compare with 2004 when there's only 40 worlds, that's just not fair)

On average weekdays there would be at most 150 players per world. In 2006, an average weekday will have at least 500-600 per world.

Keep in mind my timezone is day = night in Europe/USA.

However there's been a rise recently, maybe because of the new graphics update, or maybe because it's obviously summer. Whatever the case is, there has indeed been a decline.

On my friends, the day of the release and every day since, there has been more people online at once then I think I have ever seen. Whoever said not many people play, is probably "mentally challenged".

Some people were forced to quit because there pc cant handle the graphics, and they dont want/cant afford to upgrade just for a game.

There is only one problem I have found with the low detail graphics, and that is the head animations. Certain head gear doesn't allow the head animations to work properly. Examples are the lederhosen hat and camo hat. This happens when you talk to an NPC. But aside from that, I like the new graphics. They aren't bad at all. I think that this will be a neutral affect on all users for the most part. Even if some can't handle it, I think this is a pretty cool improvement.

well yh theres alot of ppl playing and so but not many high lvls anymore anyways who would be that dumb and just quit coz graphics got better? :roll:

yet some had to quit due theyre pc crapiness me pc is junk too but i still play it's lil bit more lag but if you like game even that won't stop you

people might say, o rs stinks now, and say im quitting, but let me tell you. People always gets mad when they change rs, but people never leave, the get used to it, and more addicted
