All that's left are skilling and minigames. Pretty much everything else worthwhile got killed.
I voted GE because it killed my biggest moneymaker.
jagex didnt intend for people to make money by buying things at post A in world 2 and selling at point b in world 6. The ge is a good thing, now noobs cant get rich off walking to a different spot and world hopping.
Our hard earned skills will now pay off.
Oh you're simply asking for it now.
First off, I'd introduce you to a very true quote. "Work smart, not work hard". For maximum profit as a merchant, you ought to know what you're doing, what're your plans, etc. For the average skill-dependant person like you, you simply do stuff with your skill and sell whatever you get for profit, regardless how small it is.
A decent merchant can make 500k per hour from various ways.
A decent fletcher/fisher/woodcutter/rcer makes 200k-400k, 500k if he's lucky. If you expect to earn money by skills and that alone, you're horribly mistaken. Because of that, I'll assume your point in your rebuttal is that
SKILLS SHOULD BE THE ONLY WAY YOU EARN MONEY.
Let's take a look.
- Before I even had 100k, I used the money to buy limpwurt roots from f2p for 300 each and sell them at 700 each on world 2. In real life, that's what shopkeepers do. They buy stuff straight from the factory for low prices and sell them to customers like your mother for higher prices. If shopkeepers ought to be shunned, then why don't you tell your mother to go buy foodstuff at the factories and farms instead of Walmart?
- An alternative I did was to collect 2nd ingredients because they're high priced. This isn't even merchanting, but apparently I don't even need a single herblore level to collect them, and I get near double profits than I'd get rcing nats. There's a reason why I have level 1 runecrafting. Because I don't need it, I have much better methods of profit.
Too bad you simpletons won this little war, I no longer have interest in moneymaking because nearly all ways to make a decent profit are limited to skilling. Too bad you couldn't abuse what I did before GE to get some big profits. Your "hard-earned" skills had never paid off, and it will never pay off.
I win.
Don't even try calling me a noob, you're a weakling in my eyes. Highest skill cooking and fletching? Last I heard those two give very bad profit.
