The ignorant people who play the game. If there was no such thing as macros and the rule-breakers these changes (such as the unbalanced trade update) wouldn't have needed to be made.

Jaden speaks the truth, thats the reason everything happened. not because jagex hates pures or anything, its the ignorant people that quit.

Who knows, maybe jagex will give back the wilderness.

As said before "What jagex did was like dropping a nuke on it". Well guess what? the radiation eventually clears and people can back. For those that dont understand what i meant, maybe jagex will give everything back, they just need to get rid of the RWT's and bots.

Runescape IS NOT "Ruined-scape"

None of these killed it, it's everyone who complains and everyone who has cheated that are ruining runescape.

I tried that, about 50 J Mods told me no and to stop asking. I think the unbalanced trade sort of messed us up (merch :( ) but stopped macros =D. "Removing the Wilderness" why torture 200K paying members taking away something for nothing?

Were you one of the people who said "no pk no pay"? if you were they would say no no matter what.

and if what your saying is true they said they wouldnt give back the wilderness. meaning "we wont give back the wilderness now, but we might return it eventually"

All that's left are skilling and minigames. Pretty much everything else worthwhile got killed.

I voted GE because it killed my biggest moneymaker.

jagex didnt intend for people to make money by buying things at post A in world 2 and selling at point b in world 6. The ge is a good thing, now noobs cant get rich off walking to a different spot and world hopping.

Our hard earned skills will now pay off.

Runescape isn't dead.

What WAS killing runescape, is cheaters, and they are being removed wherever possible.

I hate the trade balance thing with a passion (that's what i voted for), but i can live with it since it's ko'ing rwt. Nothing else much bothers me.

Huh! I must have missed the memo where Jagex announced that they have officially decided to kill the game. All I read was that they were attempting to revolutionize the game in such a way that everyone could enjoy and play it fairly without the worry of macroers and sweat-shop owners messing up the economy with real-life trading and whatnot, implying to the fact that Runescape is simply a game that is meant to be played to build up one's own wealth and ability without having to buy their way out of everything.

Listen to yourself speak, dude. "Ruined-scape"? Yeah right. Nothing "killed it". It's NOT dead! A couple of aspects were removed, but those who complained about it were (and I read this in a memo) 72% of them those that relied on said macros and whatnot, while the others were simply over-reactant because they wither played the game too much or were too fanatic at Jagex's decision, hoping to spread this message and make people quit so they'd get free stuff when they do so.

Otherwise ... I'm doing the barrows just fine. I'm fighting iron dragons, lighting fires, working at level 99 magic and thieving, and just having a blast with the game. Heck, I'm actually quite pleased with this update, because I no longer have an adrenaline rush whenever I enter the wilderness save for when I meet a reverent.

I didn't check anything in the poll, because I simply believe Runescape's not dead.

Worst thing was taking out the wilderness. All the other updates were great because they removed something bad and/or replaced it with something better. The unbalanced trade update was good because it took out noob merchants and item scamming. I mean seriously, the whole point of the game is to get skills up so you can make money, not buy something and then world hop then sell it for more.
Back to the wilderness. What was the point?? Lets see,
Positives:
you can safely walk around to clan wars, bounty hunter, mining sites or training areas
Solution:
Make portals (like ones to houses) to clan wars and bounty hunter. Second, training and mining in the wilderness is risky but rewarding, so no need for any change there.
Now the negatives
Negatives:
no more PKing = noboby buys food, armor, arrows, runes, weapons, ect.
Stupid high level gousts with their long distance level 99 mage.

Oh you're simply asking for it now.

First off, I'd introduce you to a very true quote. "Work smart, not work hard". For maximum profit as a merchant, you ought to know what you're doing, what're your plans, etc. For the average skill-dependant person like you, you simply do stuff with your skill and sell whatever you get for profit, regardless how small it is.

A decent merchant can make 500k per hour from various ways.
A decent fletcher/fisher/woodcutter/rcer makes 200k-400k, 500k if he's lucky.

If you expect to earn money by skills and that alone, you're horribly mistaken. Because of that, I'll assume your point in your rebuttal is that SKILLS SHOULD BE THE ONLY WAY YOU EARN MONEY.

Let's take a look.

- Before I even had 100k, I used the money to buy limpwurt roots from f2p for 300 each and sell them at 700 each on world 2. In real life, that's what shopkeepers do. They buy stuff straight from the factory for low prices and sell them to customers like your mother for higher prices. If shopkeepers ought to be shunned, then why don't you tell your mother to go buy foodstuff at the factories and farms instead of Walmart?

- An alternative I did was to collect 2nd ingredients because they're high priced. This isn't even merchanting, but apparently I don't even need a single herblore level to collect them, and I get near double profits than I'd get rcing nats. There's a reason why I have level 1 runecrafting. Because I don't need it, I have much better methods of profit.

Too bad you simpletons won this little war, I no longer have interest in moneymaking because nearly all ways to make a decent profit are limited to skilling. Too bad you couldn't abuse what I did before GE to get some big profits. Your "hard-earned" skills had never paid off, and it will never pay off.

I win. Don't even try calling me a noob, you're a weakling in my eyes. Highest skill cooking and fletching? Last I heard those two give very bad profit.

Couldn't have put it better myself. If it's 'dead' then how am I still playing?

Sure I miss pking but I can still enjoy the game without it. I chose to do a wide range of things instead of just sticking to one.
