Luck, not skill

There is a lot of talk about if you get items at barrows, its luck not skill, or skill not luck. I am proof to say its luck. Me and my friend (Raidian) were sleeping over at my house, and I got really lucky. I got a guthan helm on my mabey 4th run ever. We thought it was normal because we know alot of people who get guthan items arounf their 4th run. But that night, I was barrowing, and got another guthan helm. Now part of the items are luck, because about 85% of the time you get 12 kills, you get bolt racks.

I believe it's luck too. The third time I ever went I got ahrims robe bottom. I said to my firend "WOuldn't it be nice if I had the top to, lol' The very next run, I got Ahrims top. From then all I've gotten is runes.

Everything in rs basically revolves around luck, anyway. You only need skills for PvP.

I think everything in RS is luck, but your chances increase as you level and get higher.

Leveling, doesn't have effects on most minigames, so leveling probably does nothing except that you use less suplies.

Its all luck and I have crap luck in runescape :cry:

so I get no good drop and only ever 1s got A Item from barrows :evil:

It is completely luck. I did around 40 runs awhile ago. Best item: Karil's Crossbow. Haven't done it since. After that, I decided that I'm not doing anymore luck-based things in RS. ](*,)

there is lots of luck involved, but based on your killcount and speed certain non item drops are more likely. at 7 kills (6 brothers and my chest monster) i get between 100 and 300 death runes 2/3 of the time. i have never had a single bolt rack, and all of my items have been from ahrim torag or dharok. (axe, robetop, t helm, staff, dh plate, staff, hammers). so perhaps there are also limits to which item (helm weapon body or legs) and which brother (verac dharok ahrim torag karil or guthan) based on your killcount, time, and which monsters you kill... some people think bloodworms get you bloods, skeletons get deaths, and spiders get chaos or something like that.

lol, if i ever figure out the exact combination for getting a guthan spear i'll make sure all my friends are rich for a long time

alot of rs is luck, but there is some skill involved. for example, the maze in rat catchers took some skill to get through it.

Its sort of the same concept with Clue Scrolls. What you get is completely random you could get junk or you could get a 30 mil third age item. But, in my opinion the chance/thrill of knowing that you might get something thats worth a lot from things like Clue Scrolls or Barrows is whats half the fun.

I don't understand how Barrows could possibly be skill. You finish a run, you get a RANDOM item. Yeah, A LOT of skill involved there.

My friends and I were once at one of my friends houses and he decied to go for a barrows run. It was his first time ever and he got Guthans Warspear. He was happy as you would imagine. He then tied again. He got 250 deaths. He tried to kill the exact same things and it was basically the same.

There are simply those players who are lucky and those who aren't. I've been lucky in other drop areas (two visages without trying for either one when doing slayer) but never had much luck in Barrows, even though I've done it a fair bit. Best drop for me has been Karils Coif. lol.

I think it's luck, I've done about 20-25 runs all with 12 kills, I got Verac's helm 2nd trip and Karils top about 15th so I think it's completely random. Though my friend swears that if you examine the door you've just come through you get better items but I think that's just him

The only skill you need is organization and low-level mathematics.
