Swift Switch...Banned!

Most of you may or may not know, but Swift Switch has been banned once again. Looking at the Zybez forums and the Runescape forums, most people are furious.

There seems to be a good reason though. I was reading a thread and one of the players said that he had a Mod friend. He said that Jagex banned Swift Switch because of the World Watcher (The utility that lets you know how many people are in specific worlds).

This in my opinion, is totally reasonable. Strider should be able to take it out and then consult Jagex to make Swift Switch legal again. I hope so.

I think this belongs in this forum, if not, feel free to move it.

FFS!, world watcher doesn't give you like a HUGE advantage above other players, but it's better than f5 the rs page.
But really, who doesn't use direct URL's for making into w2?

Let me add one more thing. As soon as they came up with this rule, the started banning people. At least thats according to a few people on forums. They didn't even post this on the front page and they're banning innocent people? This convinces me that Jagex staff really does consist of monkeys.

Jagex should just make the world switching option availabel to everyone. Or allow people to get to the log in page on full worlds.

Hmm thats a little weird for jagex to start banning people like that without warning and that makes me wonder who runs the place.

Why doesn't Jagex:

1) Buy SS or come out with an equivalent varient
2) Distribute it freely for members
3) Ban anyone else using a non approved alternative

Don't fight the masses...make money off them.

But then again, Jagex is already stupid.

Calling something stupid stupid does nothing except make you look stupid because you called something already stupid stupid.

Tbh I'm glad it's banned. It shouldn't have been made in the first place and there's no problem with using a regular browser. I do. :\

While SwiftSwitch does come in handy for a lot of things, the regular browser's just fine. Also, Jagex might not want competition between their browser and SwiftSwitch

Jagex needs to get back to their senses.

Where did you guys find out about this? I think Jagex just changed the rules behind our backs, and mass-ban people, then use the changed rule for evidence.

That's just dumb.
