Sooo, is the berzerker helm going to die? SPOILERZ!!!

hey, so with the new reward helm from the fremmenik isles, what does everyone think is going to happen to the price on berzerker helms?

if you haven't done the new quest, then don't read this topic any further or focus on the darkred small text if you don't want part of the reward spoiler.

stats for the new helm (haven't looked at its name) compared to the berserker helm...
format: stab, slash, crush, mage, range; stab, slash, crush, mage, range; strength, prayer.

Helm of Heltiznor (or something like that =/

defense:31, 29, 34, 3, 30 (33? cant go on rs anymore tonight and it isn't in the database yet. =/ )
other: 3, 3
obtained:reward for fremmenik isles quest. free of charge. if lost, get another for assumed free (has the "destroy" option)
vs.
berserker helmet
Attack:0, 0, 0, -5, -5
defense:31, 29, 33, 0, 30
other: 3, 0
obtained:purchased from the fremmenik helm shop for 72k or bought/scammed/pk'd/(other) from another player.

i think berserker helms are going down after this. everyone who can do the quest will get the new helm and have no purpose for their berserker helms. I've already sold mine, as i expect the price will fall by at least 5 to 10k... maybe, maybe not, but all the same, its obsolete and overpriced compared to the new version. Its like if sony released the blue-ray player for $50 standard (American). all the other companies would be driven out of business because a more advanced and less expensive product of the same style was released. (in the real world, sony would go bankrupt if they did that though =( ...)

Well first of all I think the berserker was 78k at the shop, correct me if I'm wrong.

But I agree with some points, however the berserker helm looks better. The new helm looks ridiculous. It has good stats, but not alot better.

I'd still wear a berserker helm.

quest is easy without a guide. it tells you exactly what to do for every step. there isn't one time you actually have to try to figure something out. the only mildly difficult part is the jester part, and that you can just keep going back, so there is no rush. honestly need a quest guide? I'll make one for you so you don't get left in the dust.

the neitznot helm dosn't look like crap, ever heard of hermes? messenger of the greek gods? yeah... And even so, if it did, people in the wilderness don't care what it looks like. if its better and they don't have to waste money getting it back for the next round, they'll use it.

No need for the history lesson either -.-

Although, back to the point. I think that berserker helms will still be used, but you won't see them as much. They will also probably butt out some of the other fremmy helms, but they will still be around. As Waffles said, a berserker is a lot easier to get ahold of.

updated: it is tradeable, even though it is a destroy object. so if someone pks you, they cant get it, but you also cant get it. and the cost to retrieve the lost helm is 50k. that changes the situation a bit.
