So if we could change your names...

I'm not sure what he's meaning with this but there are 2 possible ways. First is to change your ingame name. Second is to change your loginname. And frankly, I like them both but I hope the last one is getting made.

Opinions? And what if you could change your ingame name. Would you do that? And if you could change your loginname. Would you do that?

I doubt you could change your name, but it would be cool to have a clan names thing where if you're in a clan it appears...or a user rank of some sort.

I think you might be able to change you ingame name. NOt you log in. I think that would be really neet for pking so you foes cant look you up.
Also it gives you privacy if you dont want random people bothering you.
Very good idea.
I would kepp my log in and stuff, but maybe change my Nick if I dont want ppl bugging me.

That's a pretty good idea. However, i'd rather keep the name i have at the moment, so i'm not too bothered about it.

If you change your ingame name it would be to messy. Everyone that has you on your friendlist will have to change your name. However if your loginname could be changed I would certainly do that. People will have a much harder time trying to hack your account. (Not that my password is easy to guess but just extra safety).

Well, i mean the people on you friends list would have you log-in name on there, but say I change my screen name in RuneScape to exp123 it show's up as exp123 but on my friends listt o my friends it still says Azek_Out. Once you add someoen and they add you your real name would appear to them. This would stop scamming and hacking and flamming other snice you could have you name.

I would also like to see something that could hide your combat lvl.
I HATE people to know mine. They all judge me caz I dont get up melee, I mostly get up range.
Of corse this would not be applied in the wild at all.

i have an idea where you change your name and there is a tag on your name. so like if i was in damage incorporated (DI)j1j2j3. that type of thing you can do. i don't see changing the login name any good since hackers could hack the account and change the name and the owner will never get it back.

I'd love to change me ingame name though.

So it is basically a double or nothing. If you share your account with someone (I know people that do this) you are much more likely to lose it. If you don't and follow the rules, you are much more likely not to lose it.

On another note, I have been wondering if Jagex is going to do a massive prune pretty soon. It would probably help game play massively to clean out all those accounts that have been sitting for three years and not touched. Of course this would be controversial, but it would really speed up game play. They could definitely put some limits on it like under lvl 500 and haven't been touched in 2 years or something...they really should come up with a permanent solution though because hard drive space isn't eternal.

It should be like SecondLife where you choose your own first name and then pick a second name from a list of ones prepared by Jagex. I'd change mine for sure. It's hard walking around with an RSN like mine

I have a feeling that Jagex is going to charge users to change their ingame names. Personally, as long as the price is resonable (<$10 maybe), I'd change it.
