I got banned for saying that as a joke

I got my account back by saying some stupid reply to them.

I guess mods are stupid at Jagex XD

I got perm banned for getting flamed then insulted.

Jagex are retards, plain and simple. Luckily they realised that and unbanned me.

Very funny joke. It'd be even funnier if an inexperienced player didn't see the first line that says 'rofl' and walked by and saw that it said it blocked their pass and they curiously tried it!

Or it'd be funny if a potential scammer saw that and realized it has scamming value!

Or it'd be funny if you realized you threatened to kill someone in real life as a joke and got in trouble or pretended to steal something and got caught!

Don't be stupid, use common sense, and don't blame Jagex when you decide to joke around with password scamming. Obviously Jagex isn't stupid, as they realized your joke and unbanned you, but definetly taught you a lesson, and hopefully you won't be doing something like that again.

EDIT: ANd when Jagex gets thousands of reports a day, they don't have time to sift through the people who were just 'joking around'. THey MUST treat everyone equally so that they don't accidentally brush off a scammer thinking that they were joking around.

I agree with Crio somewhat. Sure, you may have been joking, but if it was my job, and I was paid to, looks at hundreds of reports a day, I sure wouldn't be laughing if I got 3 or 4 extra reports because some customer is "joking around".

If you're going to joke around, keep within the rules. ^^

And Jagex are -only- human, they sift through hundreds, possibly thousands of reports a day, mindlessly clicking the ban button, they are going to slip up every now and then.

The "doesn't" kind of clues poeple in that it's a joke... Anyway, good that you got it back. Though I have a feeling someone is going to get banned for "spamming" the chat box when you automaticly takl, like from evil bob or dragon battle axe. They would

I'm going to agree with Crio here. You have to watch your back and expect that Jagex receive lots of these reports. They're not going to take the chance of checking for sarcasm.

Most things like that only appear in your own chat box.

To be fair I was about to agree until Burn posted.. It doesn't make Jagex stupid, it's not like they get in only 5 reports a day and have time to individualy study each one. Easy mistake.

At least you got your account back, though.

Lucky you got unbaned but you could not be unbaned so better think what you write! And peoples now i see only posts about mutes and bans isint there anything els to post about these days??? I know jagex make alot mistakes thats true all knows but we need to respect them becouse i think lvl 3 nubies report everithing they think not against rules so i gess they got big mess off reports.
