I was thinking one day, that RS really needs some new combat skills. That was when Trapping hit me.
1. You will make items used to distract monsters.
2. You will set up traps:flame traps;dust traps;arrrow traps; etc.
3. Ranged traps will require 50 ranged, bow string, and 2 mith arrows or
Higher, and level 1 trapping. Exp 4 exp in trapping and ranged per 1
Hp taken away from monster resulting in the attack, and 500 trapping
Exp during set up.
5. Flame traps will require 50 fire making, tinerbox, and sticks(new item)
6. Exp; 100 exp in fire making, and 100 trapping exp for set up+4 exp
Per hit in trapping; max hit-8 dammage per second for 6 seconds.
7. Poisen traps; required; 40 trapping, a new poisen(much like weapon
Poisen but much easier to be made and get a hold of) and spikes
(also a new item made from a new tree; lvl 45 wc; spiked bushes)
Effect- monster is blinded for 20 seconds resulting in its attack and
Stre being reducuced by 25% with a 50% hit rate.
8. Advanced arrow trap; req 50 trapping, and 60 ranged; These traps are
Much more powerfull then the previous ranged trap resulting in a max
Hit of 31 and being able to poisen the arrows. 500 trapping exp, 250
Ranged exp, and 4 exp in trapping for every 1hp taken away from
Monster resulting from the 2 arrows.
9. Net Trap; req 60 trapping, a net, and a rope. There will be new spots
Around at certain NPC training spots, with a place to use rope with.
The net will come down and will trap the creature, for 8 seconds, at
Which point you can ranged/use other traps on it with out getting hurt.
1,250 trapping exp
10. Fire blast Trap; lvl 65 trapping, 59 mage, and a trip wire, sets out
2 mage spells fire blast , max hit-40. 4 exp per hit in mage
and trapping.(Also new traps for every new attack spell going up
5 required trapping levels per spell)
There would be other traps as well, but I ran out of ideas for the time being. =( But the strings and stuff like that will be re-usable so you dont have to keep banking, and arrows stack, poisen would be needed to be banked, and items such as that. And exp MUCH higher then I listed upbove since it would be such a pain to set up and stuff. As you raise your trapping level things take less time to set up, and you hit higher. There will also not be a 100% success rate at first, so you will need 25 trapping or higher to start really doing dammage. At lvl 50 you will have a 100% success rate. This skill will be non members to a certain degree, but MUCH more effective and cheaper to raise in members. And some of these traps will not be able to be made in non members.
