Very Mysterious

My friend has gone on holiday 2weeks. then his noob acc is hacked! i was online.

now i tried to talk to him in my native language, he didnt say anything back in my language. he said, "hello my freind."

then, "give me you pass and i will make codes for full rune g" i obviously said no. then he told me "idiot you dont trust in me" he began saying a lot of sorries. then he logged out.

AM I BEING IN RISK OF BEING HACKED?????

If you didn't go to ne "bad" websites
If you didn't download anything "odd"
If you didn't give him your password

Then you have nothing to worry...................

I feel sorry for your friend...same thing happened to me... I wanted to hurt the guy that did that...turns out it was some little brat named servicehelp6. a total noob that claims to be have been fired from jagex. and one of my friends knew him... and the worst thing is, that he may be half way across the world and i can't punch the living daylights outta him!!

Man, you gotta be careful about stuff like that. don't download weird stuff. They might have keyloggers which = bad.

Basically hackers need a portal into your computer...a keylogger, you giving them the pass...etc...they just can't magically say hey I know his pass. So if you are the only one who knows it...and don't download anything related to runescape...you'll be fine. The only thing to worry about is on forums like this sometimes people try to post face links to keyloggers...but the moderators here do a good job of slashing those before they can do any harm. Just be careful and cautious and you will be fine.

Use the On-Screen keyboard to input and change your pass and recovery questions, then keyloggers are useless even if you have them.

try answering me THIS. at lvl 48 i was hacked and lost nearly full mith. now i was SURE i had no viruses because i made a complete system scan. THERE IS A SOFTWARE WHICH HACKS!!

did this ever happer 2u? without viruses?

There isn't software that hacks. In runescape you can't hack.

The only way you can get your account stolen is

~You gave your password away
~Your password is something simple, like your name
~You downloaded something that contained a keylogger posing as something else that bypassed your software because it was in a Zip file and recording everything you say
~Your password was the same as on a Fansite for example and the Password Database got Stolen.
~Someone was looking over your shoulder.

Ok, i will tell u this now, virus scans do not pick up spyware and some forms of keyloggers. also, they will not pick up some trojans, esspecially if its a new trojan. To pick up a virus the scanner needs to see a defected file or a file like that in its regristry of known viruses.
