We are also adding some other smaller features to the game later this month, such as clockwork toys for your cats, teleportation tablets, making your own cups of tea and even chairs you can sit down in.
Those are the words that meant Player Owned Houses and Construction was coming out. Now that it has beenout for a few days it’s quite obvious that those are to do with construction. How can you make a chair without construction? Anyone who knew what clockwork was could figure it out as well. Teleport tablets, that kinda threw me off, but the tablets are made with clay in your study. So it’s here, after many years of planning so here is my sort of review of them.
First problem, is that you must pay someone to convert your logs to planks. This is the middle ages here, I am sure that we could have found a way to make a plank out of a log, heck we can make a canoe that DOES NOT SINK with a standard hatchet. With this it enabled the rich, to simply buy their levels. Sure there’s nothing wrong with this but another skill where you have to practically buy your levels to raise it quickly, is not what the players wanted; we have Herblore and Farming for that.
When you get to your house and decide to start building rooms, there is not enough flexibility. You have to have a room with the default amount of doors. In my view, you should be able to pick between 1 and 4 doors on a room. I wasted probably about 200k when my room was not aligned properly.
Another thing that annoys me is that when you build something you do not get any materials back. If I take my desk apart, I will get some wood, some screws, some nails etc.. But when you take something apart on runescape, nothing comes back! This is what annoys me most.
Finally there were a few bugs, some more improvements could have been made and it may have been a good idea to hold it back until the end of June.
Oh and one more little thing:

Player owned houses - Each player will be able to have their own unique house. Use the new carpentry skill to make new/rare things for your house. Using the farming skill to grow herbs and plants in the grounds of your house. Build your own private party areas and shop areas, and more!

Ok, so we got that and the farming skill but they said we can grow herbs and plants in the grounds our own house. Along with player owned shops. Maybe they forgot this update?
I am currently level 50 construction, it is a good skill despite what I mentioned. Perhaps one day I will hold an open house.
