U muz be thinking, what skills earns more money,
1) smithing? i can smith lots of rune plate. THIS IS WRONG
2) Fishing and cooking? for members, in catherby, its near, but whats more better?
3)combat? collecting big bones? or... what?

Merchanting means u buy somethin cheap, and sell it at a higher price
Tip
1) Bargain as low as possible for the item u want..
2) NEVER allow ur customer to Bargain with u.. BE Firm With ur price.
3) Well, Beware of scams like, "spending 1m" or more..
LETS GET TO THE POInt.
FIrst, i recommend u to buy coal at 150each- 170each from ppl in falador bank(NOT world 1 or 2) and after that. GO WORLD 1 AND sell 180-200each..
BIG BONES!. Get people to get big bones for u. 300-400each
IN FORUms. U CAN SEE ppl offering for 450each or even 600each.(thats super ***)
If u are a non member, U can go to the forums, but u can't post. No problem, just add the person u see him buying, and chat with him. U sure can contact them also
Well. Or A stupid way is to go to a rune shop. Buy all the deaths and chaos and airs.. Just this three, because they are easy to sell. AND sell deaths NO less than 280each Chaos no less then 120each,airs no less then 15each!!
DO U know after a system update, all the runes in the rune shop changes to the stock 5000?
RUN to a rune shop when u see system
THe price of all runes WIll BE VERY VERY CHEAp! ( i forgottenn the price..) Lets say the deaths are 180each Average. And u manage to snatched 2000 out of 5000. and someone offers 320each for ur death, PROfit 320-180 x 2000= 280k
Normally, if u do not wish to wait for a system update, u can go to a rune shop and buy their deaths, if i'm not wrong, the most expensive price for a death rune in the shop is 224gp. u can buy them, if its out of stock, just change worlds and buy again. soon, u'll get 1k, and ur profit is at least 56k(if u sell for 280each)
IF U ARE A Pro, Skip this paragraph, u'll find it very noob.
Get a tinkerbox, and a axe, go karamja ( the island where u pay 30gp to go ) and cut trees. GO to the place where ppl are fishing and type. "SELLING FIRE FOR 1K or some lobsters." well. U won't be suprised if people come and trade u. u justmake the fire for them and cut trees again. u can also buy lobsters there. its very cheap as its unnoted. but u have to run like mad.
U want to earn money and train smithing? easy does it. buy coal, and mine iron. then u just smelt them and sell the bars coal would be about 150-170 each if u go to other world instead of world 1. and 2=300
steel bars can be sold for 550-650each
just be patient and keep smelting them
SOON U reach High lvl smelting
ANY items can be merchant
u can buy a rune full for 180k, and sell the parts. rune helm 30-50k kite 45-60k pl8 65-85k legs 45-60k= 185k to 255k.. easy does it
or u could wait for desperates to buy AT A HIGH price..
REMEMBER be FIRM WITH UR pRiCE
NEVER ALLoW PPL TO BARGAIN.
Me myself, hates god armours. they have same defence with rune too. my advice: save money for other useful things to train ur skills

Hey the last way is to set up "company". u can make something like " whacky's smelthing company" and post in forums to get ppl to work for u and u'll sell them at a higher price
all u do is to sit back and trade.
