mage spot red drags(if you didnt know yet)

this is an good range/mage spot, if you killed a few dogs they will leave u alone
(its near the metal drags for the 1nes that dont know

I've found one that's out of reach of the dogs. It's at one of the corners, but I have no sense of direction in there so I couldn't tell you which one.

He's talking about red dragons. But yes, metal dragons can 'throw' fireballs at you even if you're behind a rock. So maging/ranging them is quite hard.

Magic is the best way to attack metal dragons because you only need one type of potion and it's generally more likely to hit.

I found a ranging spot at red dragons a while ago. Cannons mess it up a bit because baby red dragons come in and hit you but after you take care of them the big reds are easy kills.
