Suggestion: Inventory Pins

I was reading stupid900510's topic about weather or not you bank your stuff before you log off. I often do. Sometimes it is a pain to go to a bank because of where you are.

I think Jagex should make a pin for your inventory. This would work the exact same way as the bank pin, just on the inventory. Of coruse it would be completly optional so everyone doesn't have to do it, but I don't see why someone wouldn't want to do it. It makes it almost impossible to get hacked. This, along with the bank pins we have now, will finally put an end to all hacking. Tell me what you think.

Except if you forget your inv pin your account is pretty much screwed till it gets removed. Jagex would get a lot of hassle. Where as with the bank pin..even if it does get locked down you can still deposit items so you can still use your account.

I think that would be a good idea especially I am to lazy to go to the bank. Also if you are doing a quest and you have to log off I wouldn't want to walk all the way back to the bank (or tele then have to walk back) then walk back.

yeah good idea but if you forget your PIN,
you have access to your inv but the DROP option will be disabled

I would say yes, it seems like a good idea, but really, how could you access the PIN settings for you inventory? Is there going to be some option where you can access it? Plus what if you forget it?

I'm a bit half-and-half on this idea. So I can't seem to vote just yet.

I wouldn't use it. I wouldn't want to type a pin everytime I logged on and would get tired of it. I guess some people would use it but it would also increase problems as people would forget their psw and stupid things like that. But whatever, I can't see a big problem with having it, even if I don't use it.

And you could go to the bank to edit it like the bank pin...AMAZING! You should request that on the official forums, that's the best idea i've heard in ages! wow....lol

Forgetting it would be a risk, but thats why you should be able to remember it if you want to use it.

As for unlocking it, mabye just a small screen would appear over your inventory with the numbers on it.

Why not just make the bank pin as soon as you log in? It would have exactly the same effect, but protects everything, and would prevent people from going on, not finding anything so trying to get your account banned.

I think its an alright idea dont get me wrong but Im already getting annoyed with the bank pin alone, having one on my inventory would do my head in. If people are really that paranoid about getting hacked, they can use a bank. Thats what theyre there for.
