I think that if Jagex made a programme with much of the features of SS (easy world switching, instant high-score lookup, etc), people would be more apt to use it rather than being afraid of getting their precious accounts hacked. The thing about the RS client issued by Jagex is that it's like, "Oh great, a pop-up window for RS to load in". If Jagex seriously wanted to deter people from using SS, they'd produce a client that can at least compete with it.

i dont know how i lived without it...it makes stake duelling worlds easier...

i never really realized how many other ppl use it though...i mean, you never her anyone talk about it ingame...i know i dont, mostly cuz my mains a skill pure and people try to report me if i so much as say the word "autoer" and many people dont know what ss is...

but im really surprised jagex hasnt created something similar of their own yet...i mean, even if all it had was a highscore system and a world switcher, id use it over a third party one...

I'd never use a 3rd party Client for RS. Too much of a risk for getting your acc stolen, Even if it is 100% safe. Never know without a source code

Thought I'd post here too. I usually switch between firefox and SS, but I've never been worried with security. Besides, I activated a bank PIN for a reason!

I use Swiftswitch. It's pretty good because you can select the worlds to load from the list of numbers on the side. I also like the stat look up feature. Other handy things are also useful such as links to price guides, skill calculators, system notepad...

I was thinking about getting it to use but I decided I prefer my account not being hacked to gambleing with rumors about Swiftwitch. I play with the normal client. Works fine for me.

If I started a stupid rumour about hacking Jagex and all their computers, would you stop using that too?

I prefered swiftswitch because stupid rumours made by 10yr olds trying to look cool dont scare me, and theres a whole lot of add-ons than the original client didnt have. Of course, I quit runescape so I dont use either any more

I did use Swiftswitch, but after switching to 1280x800 resolution on my Laptop, i dont any more. Swiftswitch looks crap at any resolution other than 1024x768.

In case you missed it, I was saying that rumours are retarded and they're never true so if you actually believe them, that makes you almost as pathetic as them.

Personally I'm more interested in not getting banned for violation of rule 7. It may not be reverse-engineered, whatever that means, but it is certainly modified, and modified clients are included in their list of no-nos. I'll send in a query to be sure, but I get the impression that they only allow regular browsers and their own client. And since SwiftSwitch apparently has advantages over both, I think I know what they'll say.
